Weekly Minutes For 01/31/2010
The regular weekly meeting of the Mu Chi Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi was held on Sunday, 31 January 2010, at 4:30 pm, in the Breckenridge building. The meeting was opened according to Ritual and 14 Brothers were present at roll call. Last meeting’s minutes were approved.
Officer Reports
PRESIDENT
Brother Dani reviewed this week’s events and noted the following dates:
• MTC events
- Tuesday, February 2 at 7:00pm – Buffalo Wild Wings
- Wednesday, February 3 from 10:30am – 2:30pm: Club Fair
- Wednesday, February 3 at 9:00pm – Bowling at Harmony Bowl
- Friday, February 5 at 6:00pm – Ice Cream Social at Coldstone
• Brother Meeting on Super Bowl Sunday
- Sunday, February 7: The meeting is moved to 12:30pm!
• LEAD
- Monday, February 8: NOTIFY Brother Dani by this date if you’re interested in attending LEAD.
- $40 roundtrip to drive
- Will check with SGA/OSA to see about getting expenses reimbursed.
- 1 free registrations: Brothers who attend will split the registration costs evenly.
- Sunday, February 14 at 2:00pm: First Pledge meeting.
- Please note: The Brother meeting on February 14 will be held at 1:00pm.
Other Items
Please respond to the Doodle survey.
Those who are working the recruitment table can get the bag from the mailroom. When Brothers are finished, put the bag in the storage cabinets.
Hanna Pantanzis was put on trial and is now officially off the chapter’s roster after being found guilty of several charges.
PPCC is requesting our help in forming a Business club. Please get with Brother Dani if you would like to help.
Our chapter needs to work on getting sponsorships, including a restaurant sponsorship.
SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT
Brother Janet stated recruitment is going strong and to keep up the good work. The MTC Open House event was a success. Good job everyone!
Brother Janet also stated she needs help contacting potentials.
CHANCELLOR
Brother Amy made an announcement about the chapter’s weekly newsletter. The newsletter will include pictures and event information. If you would like to contribute anything to the newsletter, contact Brother Amy.
Brother Amy asked Brother Carl to send the alumni the weekly newsletter and to keep them updated on our upcoming events.
A FREE GMAT exam will be held on campus on Saturday, February 13. Be sure to sign up if you’re interested. Also, Brother Joanna passed a sign-up sheet for interest in holding a GMAT prep class on campus.
VICE-PRESIDENT FINANCE
Dues are due February 14!
Dues are $85. Brother Jenna urged brothers to turn in their dues as soon as possible before February 14. After February 14, a $10 late fee will be assessed for each week your payment is late.
VICE-PRESIDENT FUNDRAISING
Brother Natalie presented several fundraising ideas, to include:
- Selling hand-warmers/snack during the 3OH!3 concert being held at Four Diamonds on April 22.
- Donut stand.
- Flower stand during Valentine’s Day.
- Alumni dinner – we still need a date for this and a location.
Committee Reports
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Brother Joanna went over possible community service events. Dates will be announced shortly. Lil’ Sisters of the Poor is tentatively set for April 10.
More information is being investigated about doing another service event with Serenity Springs Big Cat Reserve. Brother Kaila will get more information for the next meeting.
SOCIAL/BROTHERHOOD
Brother Annette reminded everyone about the CC Hockey game on Saturday, February 6. Brother Jason suggested to have a Laser Tag night for a social. Any other suggestions, contact Brother Annette.

Brother Dani made a motion to vote on Faculty Advisor. Peggy Knock was voted to be our chapter’s faculty advisor.
